Common questions

How do my notes reach my other devices?

Through your own iCloud. Sign in with the same Apple Account on each device and make sure iCloud is turned on for Vesica (Settings, your name, iCloud). Changes usually arrive within a minute while the app is open. Without iCloud, everything still works on that one device.

I changed the same note on two devices. Which one wins?

Both. Vesica merges the edits, and if the very same lines were changed in two places it keeps both versions, separated by a quiet line, so nothing is lost.

I deleted something by mistake.

Deleted highlights, bookmarks, notes and Ask chats are kept for 30 days. Open Contents, choose Settings at the bottom, then Recently Deleted.

How do I change the translation?

Open Contents and choose Settings at the bottom of the list, then Translation. Your highlights, bookmarks and notes stay with their verses in every translation. See all eleven translations.

Why can’t I find the King James Version?

In the United Kingdom the King James Version is under Crown copyright, so Vesica does not offer it there. It is available everywhere else.

Can I write with Apple Pencil?

Yes. Write by hand or type in the notebook beside the page; one note can follow a theme through as many chapters and books as you like (start one with ⋯ ▸ New Note). To write on the Bible page itself, turn on Write on Page with the pen in the notebook’s header, so a resting Pencil never marks the text by accident.

Is Vesica really free?

Reading, highlights, notes and sync are free, with no ads and no account to create. Ask, the optional AI study companion, uses Sign in with Apple and is free up to a daily limit. Vesica Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription (US$3.99 a month or US$24.99 a year, or the local price) that raises Ask’s limit to 100 questions a day. You can cancel it any time in your App Store settings (Settings, your name, Subscriptions).

How do I delete my Ask account?

Open Contents, choose Settings at the bottom, then Ask ▸ Delete Account. Deleting the account erases everything Vesica’s server holds about you; you can choose to delete your chats too. It doesn’t cancel Vesica Plus: cancel that in your App Store settings. You can also turn off Show Ask in the same place to hide Ask everywhere.
